Joining CORE: Becoming a CORE Registrar

To join CORE and act as a CORE registrar, an applicant must take the following steps:

• Read the CORE AoAs (Art. 1 to 23) and the CORE-MoU;

• Submit duplicate copies of the completed application form;
• Pay the application fee of US$ 3'500 (this amount is a Minimal Initial Account Balance (MIAB), fully available to fund registrations, but not refundable.);

The application is usually accepted within 24 hours. CORE Payload can be integrated within some hours, which means that once approved you can start to register domains immediately.

After the application has been deemed acceptable:

• Conform to any operational and technical requirements as may be determined by CORE for registrars.

• CORE members registration account is deducted on a monthly basis of USD 100 for MembershipFees (MSF).

CORE introduced new membership criteria in order to encourage more diversity by inviting registrars from lesser developed countries.
